2020
Polygamy Day is August 19

August 19, 2020, is the TWENTIETH  Polygamy Day ®.

For this year's celebration of "Polygamy Day ® 20," looking back over the previous year, this should have been a monumental year for pro-polygamists indeed.

On February 12, 2020, the National Polygamy Advocate ™ PODCAST reached a new milestone of weekly episodes. Namely, Over 100 of Mark Henkel's Media Interviews Archived for History.

On May 12, 2020, exactly three months later, the legal battle to de-criminalize Unrelated Consenting Adult Polygamy (UCAP) scored a major victory: Honest Polygamy is No Longer a Felony Crime in Utah. The State of Utah de-felonized bigamy, reducing that charge down to only an infraction when no other crimes or coercion are involved.

That history-making event should have publicly marked the beginning of a political "victory lap" for pro-polygamists fighting for freedom.

Unfortunately, by that time though, the entire planet was 2 months in to the global pandemic of the COVID-19 crisis. What was supposed to be a temporary nationwide "stay-at-home" plan to "flatten the curve" instead extended into a prolonged forced "vacation" against the masses' will. Protesters against that tyranny rallied at State Capitols, despite being told that doing so was, itself, "not allowed" and would supposedly be "spreading the coronavirus."

By the end of May, 2020, the murderous killing of African American, George Floyd, by a caucasian police officer sparked protests, riots, vandalisms, and lootings. Subsequent "Black Lives Matter" protests gained media prominence, without equally being criticized as being dangerous in "spreading COVID-19."

As the pandemic continued through the Summer, the issues of millions of people losing their incomes, of "mask orders," and of the coming election in November dominated all media "reports." Apparently, there was no way that the Manufactured News Corporations were ever going to prioritize any attention to be given to the historic news about de-criminalizing polygamy.

Throughout the "stay-at-home" orders of the pandemic, polygamists have had to remain "extra quiet" - even more than normally so. This reality has been especially serious for those who have polygamous families living in separate housing.

As this "Polygamy Day ® 20" marks 20 years of such celebrations on August 19th, it comes just one day after the August 18th anniversary celebrating 100 years since the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution, that had finally and rightly gave women the right to vote. Pro-polygamists have long proven how the tyranny of anti-polygamy laws were never about "equality for women" precisely because it took decades and decades after those laws were passed to finally give women the important right to vote. National Polygamy Advocate Mark Henkel has routinely presented how the National Polygamy Rights Movement for Unrelated Consenting Adult Polygamy (UCAP) has always proven that the right to choose polygamy is indeed a "woman's choice" issue; and, he has thereby explained that the anti-polygamy laws were passed when women had no such right to vote to choose one way or the other. Hence, pro-polygamists rejoicingly celebrate the 100 years anniversary of women's right to vote on August 18, 2020, the day before our own special day.

Because this "Polygamy Day ® 20" marks two decades of "Polygamy Day ®," extra-special celebrations had been originally planned. However, due to the crisis (and its issues) of the COVID-19 pandemic, such additional plans had to be either terminated or greatly curtailed.

Even so, the pro-polygamy fight for freedom will continues; and, pro-polygamists everywhere can and will celebrate this special day in various private ways.

Undoubtedly, supporters of Unrelated Consenting Adult Polygamy do have much to celebrate and to further contemplate on this August 19, 2020, "Polygamy Day ® 20."

POLYGAMY is NOT "bad for women"
Dr. Joyce Brothers: "Polygamy is not as bad as people think. I would rather be third in line of a good man than the only wife of a jerk."
[Live, as Guest: Bill Maher's "Politically Incorrect", Comedy Channel, Dec. 22, 1994]

     POLYGAMY is NOT "Immoral"
Dr. Laura Schlessinger: "In the polygamous society of the Bible, adultery is defined as sexual intercourse between a man (whether married or unmarried) and a woman married to someone else. In biblical times, most societies allowed men to marry more than one woman."
["The Ten Commandments", Pg. 218, © 1998 Dr. Laura Schlessinger]
